Chemical industry executives, dignitaries and leading academics gathered at the Hotel Intercontinental in Warsaw, Poland for the Chemical Industry Summit & Awards Gala on Monday, 12 October 2015. The event was organized by PricewaterhouseCoopers of Poland and the Executive Club. Experts from the European chemical industry as well as leading figures from Poland gathered to discuss a wide range of issues with respect to the chemical industry. This was the fourth such meet to take place, and major multinational chemical companies were in attendance.

Various debates and discussion panels were held about the state of the European chemical industry, and the future of the market. Discussions focused on the degree of competitiveness between Europe and the US, as well as Asia. Further, consolidation of the chemical sector was discussed in great detail and how this impacts on the Polish chemical industry. Ample attention was given to the interaction between big business, science and the chemical sector in general. This auspicious event was hosted by the deputy chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers Poland, Jacek Socha and TV personality Odeta. Patrons for the event included the Ministry of Treasury, the Ministry of Economy, Fertilizers Europe, Plastics Europe, Industrial Development Agency, and PARP.
